Sarakol-RDL (Conc) is a special formulation for dyeing of reactive dyes an vat dyes by exhaust as well as pad application. Sarakol-RDL (Conc) improves the solubility of reactive dyes under adverse conditions of dyeings such as low liquor ratio, poor quality of salt, hardness in water, poor solubility of dyestuff. Use of urea can be eliminated by addition of Sarakol-RDL (Conc). Hence, BOD values of the effluent can be reduced drastically.
Sarakol-RDL (Conc) also act as a dyebath conditioner and levelling agent particularly for package dyeing.

1. Exhaust process
0.2 - 0.5 g/l Sarakol-RDL (Conc). Can be added in the dyebath depending upon the quality of water, amount of dyestuffs, quality of dyestuffs & quality of salt. Half the quantity of Sarakol-RDL (Conc). can be added while dissolving the dyestuffs and balance quantity can be added in the dyebath.
2. Continuous dyeing
1-2 g/l Sarakol-RDL (Conc). is recommended in the pad liquor for uniformity of the dyeing as well as good bath stability. Half the quantity of Sarakol-RDL(Conc). can be added while dissolving the dyestuffs and balance quantity can be added to the padding liquor.
3. Grey dyeing of cotton yarn & knits in medium and dark shades with reactive dyes
Treat the material with -
1 g/l Celldet-R
1 g/l Saraquest-AE
Treat at 85 deg.C for 15-20 min., cool the bath below required dyeing temperature,
add 0.3 -0.5 g/l Sarakol-RDL (Conc).
Circulate for 5 mins. and carry out isothermal dyeing as recommended by dyestuff manufacturer.
Instructions For Dilution
Procedure to prepare 22% Sarakol-RDL (Conc).
Preservation: It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2-Bromo,2-nitropropane, 1,3-diol) or Methyl Paraben (methyl para hydroxy benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal/microbial growth.
Filter through a nylon cloth of 200-250 mesh size and discard residue, if any.
It is advisable to utilize the diluted product within 2 months. Stir well before use.
Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
