Product Information

Fabsoft (Conc) is an economical, concentrated, new generation polysiloxane softener available in free flowing pourable liquid which can be easily diluted to the desired concentration. Diluted emulsion of Fabsoft (Conc) have very good stability. Fabsoft (Conc) is suitable for all types of substrate. Fabsoft (Conc) is suitable by pad application and by exhaust in garment machine.

Application

Padding Process

Dosage: 3-8 g/l
Pick-up: 65-70%
Bath pH: 5.0-6.0
Drying: 130-160 deg.C

Exhaust Process

Dosage: 0.3-0.8%
Bath pH: 5.0-6.0
Bath Temp: 30-40 deg.C
Time: 20-30 mins.

* Dosages recommended are based on the concentrated product's strength.

Dosages of diluted product to be calculated on the basis of solid content.

Note:

Fabsoft (Conc) has tendency to turn from colourless to yellow during storage.
pH of bath should not exceed 6.5 (pH of bath should be acidic)

Instructions for Dilution

Procedure to prepare 20% diluted product of 75% Fabsoft (Conc).

Take 70 parts of DM water (25-30 deg.C, pH adjusted to 5-5.5 with acetic acid)
To this, gradually add 30 parts of Fabsoft (Conc) under constant stirring at 200-300 rpm using impeller stirrer to obtain homogenous product.

Preservation:It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2-Bromo,2-nitropropane, 1,3-diol) or Methyl Paraben (methyl para hydroxy benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal / microbial growth.

Note:

Avoid high-speed stirring

It is advisable to utilize the diluted product within 2 months. Stir well before use.

Precautions

Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.

Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
