SARASOFT-EP (CONC) | Polyethylene emulsion

Sarasoft-EP (Conc) is a polyethylene eumlsion for cotton and polyester cellulosic blend fabrics to impart soft and bulky handle. Sarasoft-EP (Conc) when used alongwith saralink-545 or Saralink-ULF improves the tear and tensile strength of the treated fabrics with improvement in DP rating. It also improves sewability of the finished fabrics. Sarasoft-EP (Conc) is also recommended for finishing of fabrics before emerising to ensure uniformity of treatment.

Padding process

1. Softness finish

• Pick-up : 65-70%
• Bath pH : 5.0-6.0
• Drying : 130-160 deg.C

Shock Cure : 180-190 deg.C, 45-60 sec.

2.2. 100% Cotton fabric

• Saralink-ULF : 60-120 g/l
• Sarasoft-EP(Conc) : 10-20 g/l
• Sarasoft-1371 : 10-20 g/l
• MgCl2 : 12-24 g/l
• Citric acid : 0.3 g/l
• Drying : 110-130 deg.C, (8-12% moisture content)
• Curing : 150-160 deg.C, 5-6 mins.

Exhaust process

• Saralink-ULF : 6-12%
• Sarasoft-EP(Conc) : 1-1.5%
• Sarasoft-1371 : 2-3%
• Sarasoft-I : 1 %
• Bath pH : 4.5-5.0 (adjusted with citric acid)
• Bath Temp. : R.T, 10-30 mins.
• Drying : Hydroextract (65-70% moisture content) 
•              Tumble dry (10-15% moisture content)
• Curing : 140-160 deg.C, 5-6 mins.

Procedure to prepare 20% Sarasoft-EP (Conc)

• Take 52.63 parts of Sarasoft-EP (Conc)
• To this, add 47.37 parts of distilled water
• Stir at 300-400 rpm till solution became homogeneous
