SARASOL-1101

SARASOL-1101 |

Pre-treatment for Digital Printing

Product Information

Sarasol-1101 is a thickening agent which is applied in the pre-treatment padding process before Ink-Jet printing on various substrates. Sarasol-1101 is suitable on all types of fabrics printed with disperse, reactive and acid inks. Sarasol-1101 being a high molecular weight product locally increases the viscosity thereby prevents spreading of prints. Sarasol-1101 delivers level prints with sharp outlines and improved colour value. It has a film forming and adhesion property. The advantage of Sarasol-1101 is ready to use a product with consistent viscosity. Sarasol-1101 is stable as there is no bacterial attack. The feel of the fabric is not affected. The inkjet printing technology used in digital textile printing is also used in pre-treatment of fabric prior to a printing process.

Application

A. Digital printing on Polyester (Disperse ink)

Recipe :

  • Sarasol-1101 : 50-80 g/l
  • Acetic acid  :  2 to 3 g/l

(Use SARAKOL-NF: 1 to 3 g/l in the recipe if back side penetration is required in the fabric).

Pad with above recipe and Dry at 120°C then Print on digital printing machine and steam at 180°C for 12 mins in loop ager or at 130°C (30 psi pressure) for 30 mins in star ager (autoclave).

Then wash several times with cold water and reduction clear it at 65 to 70°C, give cold wash with acetic acid  and dry.

B.  Digital printing on Cellulosic fabric (Reactive ink)

Recipe:

  • SARASOL-1101 :  60 to 100 g/l
  • Urea :  100 to 200 g/l
  • Sodium bicarbonate :  30 to 40 g/
  • Soda ash :  5 to 10 g/l
  • Resist salt :  20 to 30 g/l

(Use SARAKOL-NF 1-3 g/l in the recipe if print penetration is required in the fabric)

Pad with above recipe and Dry at temperature 120°C then Print on digital printing machine and steam at 100°C for 12 mins in loop ager or at 100°C (atmospheric pressure) for 15 mins in star ager (autoclave).

Then wash several times with cold water, soap with anionic washing off agent like SARAKOL-1583 at 95°C for 7 to 10 mins and give cold wash and dry.

C.   Digital printing on Nylon, Wool and Silk (Acid/Metal Complex ink)

 Recipe :

  • SARASOL-1101  :  60 to 80 g/l
  • Urea :  100 to 150 g/l
  • Ammonium sulphate  :  20 to 40 g/l

(Use SARAKOL-NF 1-3 g/l in the recipe if back side penetration is required in the fabric)

Pad with above recipe and Dry at temperature 120°C then Print on digital printing machine and steam at 105°C for 20 mins in loop ager or at 105°C (10 psi pressure) for 30 mins in star ager (autoclave).

Then wash several times with cold water and treat with SARAFIX-NEW 1 to 3% (on the weight of fabric) + Acetic acid 2 to 3g/l at 80°C for 15 to 20 mins. and dry.

Note:
  • Sarasol-1101 can be applied by coating with 50% diluted product.
  • A concentration of Sarasol-1101 to be added depending on GSM of fabric.

For higher GSM fabric, lesser quantity of Sarasol-1101 is required compared to lower GSM fabric
