Sarakol-AD is a washing off agent for reactive dyed and printed cellulosic fibers and their blends. In case of reactive dyes which are having low solubility in presence of salt and alkali and when liquor ratio is low there could be precipitation of dyes during the dyeing leading to poor colour yield as well as precipitation of dyes on substrate and machine. Addition of Sarakol-AD overcomes this problem due to its excellent dispersing action. Calcium salts, pectins and cotton lint impurities in the dyebath could also lead to precipitation of dyes as well as poor washing off of hydrolysed dyes at the end of dyeing. Due to its chelating action Sarakol-AD prevents such precipitation and also helps in easy removal of hydrolysed reactive dyes at theend of dyeing operation. It also can be used as dispersing agent in silk de-gumming and reduction clearing.

Application
1)Bleaching of cotton or polyester/cotton yarns or fabric. It is suitable for all machines, and will prevent the build up of insoluble calcium and magnesium salts on the machines, as well as aiding the preparation of clean lint free fabric. The following concentration is recommended: 1–2 % Sarakol AD
2)Exhaust Dyeing of Cotton Hosiery and fabric on Soft Flow Machine (MLR 1:7 - 1:12) or cotton fabric on jiggers (MLR 1:3) 0.7 - 1% Sarakol AD is added in the bath before addition of dyestuff or chemicals. Quantity of Sarakol AD would depend upon liquor ratio, quality of process water, quality of salt and efficiency of scouring operation as well as concentration and solubility of the dyestuff used in the recipe.
3) Dyeing of Cotton Yarn on Package Dyeing Machine (MLR 1:8-1:12) 1 - 2% Sarakol AD is added in the bath before addition of dyestuff in chemicals.
4) Washing off of Reactive Dyes by Batch Operation (MLR 1:5-1:15) 1 - 2% Sarakol AD 1 – 2% Kalium-NNS pH adjusted to 7 and residual salt concentration should be less than 2 g/l. Carry out soaping at 85-95°c for 10-30 mins, hot wash, cold wash, neutralise. Repeat soaping in fresh bath for dark and problematic shades. Carry out fixation for dark and problematic shades.
