A coating has now become a very important technique for adding value to textiles. It is a process in which polymeric layer is applied directly on the surface of the fabric. Depending upon the end-use, heavy-duty technical textile coatings may be applied. Unlike woven textile materials now coating is being done on other textile substrates also such as warp-knitted, weft-knitted and nonwovens.
